This place is the bomb.com .!!! The staff is super friendly! I have been here twice and they make you feel like family. Besides the excellent service, the food is superb...my boyfriend and I will be going here again next weekend as a starting weekend brunch tradition. Haven't try everything YET, but please try the strawberry shortcake beignets. Will update with pics.. Sorry I didn't takes pics, we were distracted by the food. Taking pics of clean plates would kind of defeat the purpose lol.

Wait in line to order and seat yourself. Fairly busy for a holiday. Waited over 45 minutes for our food, but it was very good. Although the wait was long, the owner tried to make it right by offering free dessert which was nice. Strawberry shortcake beignets were the best!!

My husband and I often eat lunch and sometimes breakfast here. The employees are always nice and atmosphere is great. The restaurant is beautiful on the inside, has the true feel of a coffee shop/cafe. The seating is beautiful but limited. Still we never miss out on our favorite table. They sell all types of baked treats, gifts and souvenirs. All reasonably priced at that! For lunch, you can't lose with the classic burger-(well done), or the chicken salad croissant with roasted potatoes. No french fries on the menu. The beignets are the best I've had in B.R-get the strawberry shortcake, you won't be disappointed! Coffee is great. You place your order and pay for it when you come in. There are no waiters most times. You order at the front counter, choose where you want to sit, then someone brings your food. My only complaint is not being offered a refill. Other than that, perfect brunch spot for couples or friends!

Loved this place when the employees were up front & greeting customers. The employees call in once & the owners ruined the experience! The lady owner made my less than 2 year old cry. Her husband lied about my child. They were very uncomfortable around children for people that run a family friendly business!! They need to stay behind the scenes away from customers b/c the are horrible with them! We would frequent this place often & I had previously always had a good experience!

Though I've been to Sweet Impressions for lunch (and it's very good!), I really wanted to write a review about the amazing job they did on our wedding cakes! When my now-husband and I were looking for wedding cake bakers in the Baton Rouge area, we were a little disappointed by the whole process- at another (quite popular) bakery, they charge you $35 just to have a cake-tasting appointment, without giving you an idea of their pricing options or availability for your wedding date! We were feeling a little disgruntled until we tried Sweet Impressions. Karl, the owner, was so wonderful and met with us personally at their cute cafe on Greenwell Springs Road. They have lots of photo albums that chronicle the multitude of wedding and specialty cakes he and his wife, Stephanie, have made over the years. The appointment also included tastings of 8 or so of their most popular cakes, fillings, and icings. He was so sweet and offered each of us a complimentary beverage to go with all of the delicious cakes! We had some special requests for our cakes, and Karl accommodated them without hesitation. Their prices were very reasonable for the amount of cake we were getting, and they even offer rentals of cake stands, should you need them. We ordered both a bride's cake (the more traditional white wedding cake) as well as a groom's cake. The day of our wedding came, and I was so excited when realized that we would finally get to taste our wedding cakes! We were so happy to see both of our cakes executed to perfection. They tasted even better than they looked! Our red velvet groom's cake was especially popular. Our guests gobbled it up- we were able to sneak a single piece home to enjoy after the reception! We can't wait to celebrate our first wedding anniversary with the top of our absolutely delicious white cake with fresh strawberry filling from Sweet Impressions. In the meantime, I'll be telling everyone I know about this hidden gem!
